Snagged fourth in varsity informative at the Lincoln East Speech tournament! Huzzah! (I didn't even think I'd break finals because OH MY GOD Millard and East's football teams suck but their speech teams are really good.)

I think I'm going to sit on my ass and play Left 4 Dead with Livvy today. Maybe do that writing meme that Saku and Noc did forever ago. I-I started it, and then we had to go look for Christmas trees and I lost my momentum. *sob*

I wish it would snow here. So far it's just been bone-numbingly cold.

AND OH YOU GUYS. I MANAGED TO BRING MY SCIENCE PRE-FINAL GRADE UP BY TWELVE PERCENT IN LITERALLY THE LAST FIVE MINUTES THE TEST WAS ONLINE. It's still not up to par, but it's a cry from an F or D so I'm satisfied.

So I think I might just have epic failed my science pre-final.

I don't get what my problem is. I'm damn smart and I know it - I scored better than ninety-seven percent of college-bound juniors on my PSATs, and I'm a sophomore. I just...can't do this. This one class. One fuckmothering class.

Eugh. Thanksgiving came and Thanksgiving went, and it was less painful than I thought it'd be. The only really stand-outy bad things are Deadbeat Aunt K, dry and grotty turkey, and the fact that Aunt A and Uncle B are getting along even worse than usual. I think Cousin X's death just sent their already rocky marriage over the edge, so...yeah. I'm sort of speculating on how long before they separate.

Good things happened, too! Sho called and confirmed that he's coming home for Christmas! 8DDD Aunt J2 and Uncle C are hosting an African exchange student, G ; he got to see snow for the first time in his life the night after Thanksgiving and totally freaked out. I-it was frickin' adorable. And Cousin E and Cousin A get cuter every time I see them. ♥

Oh oh oh oh! Lynn is due to have her baby sometime in the next week! It's weird in a way, since I still remember her as a teenager babysitting ickle me, but I'm so excited and happy for her.

Aaaaand. Um. Does anyone know where I can find icons from the anime Berserk? I want to RP either Guts, Griffith, or Judeau somewhere, but I don't have DVDs to cap from, Paint.NET to edit with, or even VLC Media Player to make caps on our new computer. (That's another good thing! KERRY HAS A NEW COMPUTER, GAIZ!)

My god, guys, it is bad. Better than the book, but still, it is bad on a level with Mansquito, The Covenant, and Mr. B Natural. (The Covenant is probably the best comparison, since Twilight is also a sucky movie full of hot - hel-lo, Laurent and Bella.) I spent almost the entire thing laughing my ass off, which may have chagrined a few dazzles, but still. It. Is. So. Bad.

The pre-movie trailers were awesome, though! Check the new Star Trek one. It's beauteous. Oh! Oh! And there's a new horror movie with BETH Odette Yustman coming out~! Check it.



I can't decide if it looks super awesome or super tacky, but it has Odette Yustman and traces of The Excorcist/Omen (the original, not-as-crappy one) so of course I'm going to see it.

Aaaaand now to attempt to nurse my NaNo back to life.
